Rolling bearings for prevention of damage due to current passage

Under unfavourable conditions, current passage causes damage to raceways and rolling elements as well as degradation of the lubricant, which can lead to the premature and unexpected failure of motors and generators. A more cost-effective approach is to include electrically insulating bearings at the design stage and thereby increase customer benefit through reduced maintenance costs and higher machine availability.
